A new fire is being lit, opening the pathways to peace, harmony, understanding and connection. Join the Heart & Mind Festival and Golden Drum for A New Fire, a gathering to open the Spring in celebration of life, love, and good relationships.

In ancient traditions sacred fires are kept as an offering to Great Spirit to ask for peace, wisdom, harmony, and protection for homes, families, villages, nations and for the world. At the fire we make our prayers, sing and dance, and offer the best of what we have. As the days become longer, we invite you to join us around a new fire, and call forth your highest intentions for the new astrological year.

At A New Fire we gather to celebrate the abundance we already live in and acknowledge the great blessing of our life. In the blossoming energy of springtime, we come before this new fire to offer our best seeds, deeds and prayers for the world.

Maestro Manuel Rufino

Maestro Manuel Rufino is a recognized elder in the Taino tradition and World Director of M.A.I.S.C. He is a spiritual guide, gifted ceremonial leader and teacher of sacred initiatic traditions of the world. He is currently in the 5th degree in the Mayan Sovereign Solar Order of Chichaan Itzaab (S.O.S.X.I) and has been recognized as an elder in many traditions. Maestro Manuel Rufino has also established and founded communities and cultural centers in Europe, North, Central and South America including the Heart & Mind Festival, the Golden Drum, and the 501(c)(3) Sacred Arts Research Foundation. He lives his life at the service of the world and all its inhabitants on land, air, water, fire.

Kevin Nathaniel

Kevin Nathaniel is a visionary musician who, with voice and ancient African instruments, channels sound as a universal healing force. Together, breathing rhythms to the beat of our synchronized hearts, Kevin Nathaniel resonates songs of unity and the “big picture” of love in beautiful ways. A celebrated composer of healing music; a long-time practitioner of the healing arts of mbira, kalimba, circle song, shekere, dance, meditation, and yoga; a world-traveled music healer and performer, sharing the medicine of the ancient, the now, and the beyond, Kevin Nathaniel brings a fresh, deep experience of the beauty of sound.

Dream Seed

Dream Seed is a sound healing collective created by members of Golden Drum, Sacred Arts Research Foundation, and Didge Project. As students of Maestro Manuel Rufino, the members of Dream Seed are dedicated to the study and preservation of the sacred traditions of humanity and the continued exploration of sound as a healing modality of the Aquarian Age. Dream Seed studies and works with indigenous and traditional elders, continuously seeking to expand their knowledge of sound and healing as universal methods of cultivating harmony, peace, and well-being. Jungle Café

Jungle Cafe is a vegan restaurant in Greenpoint, Brooklyn. We are dedicated to nutritious, wholesome vegan food at a reasonable cost, using traditional recipes and fresh ingredients.
